Toggle switches are among the most popular for their reliability and are used to establish or interrupt the electrical flow in a circuit in numerous applications such as: coffee machines, control panels, industrial instrumentation.
The switches are distinguished according to their operation in switches, diverters and toggle buttons and are available with 2 or 3 positions.
Lever switches can also vary according to their configuration:

SPST switches (single pole, single contact): These are the simplest type and allow simple on and off operations for a single circuit.
SPDT switches (single pole, double contact): can be used to change the direction of a voltage.
DPST Switches (Double Pole, Single Contact): The switch can turn two circuits on and off simultaneously.
DPDT switches (double pole, double contact): equivalent to two SPDTs controlled by a single mechanism.
